Our journey then takes us up the stunning Kirkstone Pass, offering incredible views of the lakes and mountains, before arriving in Kendal, the "Gateway to the Lakes." Our journey begins in Kirkby Lonsdale, a charming, historic market town in the Lune Valley, bordering both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. From there, we'll venture into the unspoilt landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales, familiar to viewers of "Emmerdale." Our route through the rolling Dales leads us to Hawes, renowned for Wensleydale cheese, where a visit to the creamery is highly recommended.

To nearby Lancaster the proud county town of Lancashire on the River Lun, with a storied past, dating back to Roman times, it's home to the impressive Lancaster Castle, a medieval fortress that played a significant role in English history, including the infamous Pendle witch trials.
